When we consider the church, what do we think about? Does it mean we step out of our day to day lives for an hour only to return to the same life we left? Or does it engage in going deeper into our lives and transform us?   From time to time it is important to reflect on a few questions? How is it that I exist? What do I believe is the source of all life?  If I am more than a cosmic accident, then what must be, has to be, my personal response?

At each Lent, I  work at pulling a theme out of the five weeks of Mass readings, especially in the Gospels.    This year the theme that has been placed in my heart is the phrase: "They began to believe" Let me share a few thoughts with you on this, if you don’t mind.
