The Liturgy of the Hours is a form of communal prayer that has long been part of the Church’s life. This rhythmic ritual of prayer can include Morning Prayer, Daytime Prayer, Evening Prayer, and Night Prayer, and can be done on one’s own, but it is even better when done with others.
We invite everyone to join us in church following morning Mass on Mondays, Thursdays, and Fridays to participate in Morning Prayer together. We will be using the Liturgy of the Hours book from Word on Fire as our resource.
You do not need to have experience praying Morning Prayers or the Liturgy of the Hours to participate. You will learn by doing! Participants are happy to assist you as you learn so don't be afraid to ask for help.
To subscribe for the monthly editions of the Liturgy of the Hours ($ 7 per month), just go to www.wordonfire.org and allow a couple of weeks for your monthly subscription to start.
So whether you can join us in communal prayer at church, or pray on our own, we encourage everyone to take advantage of this powerful format for prayer.
