Lent begins on Ash Wednesday, March 5, 2025.
Everyone is encouraged to make a commitment to do something during lent. Perhaps you commit to participating in one of the small groups at St. Pius. That's wonderful. But if you are concerned about a weekly commitment, there are many opportunities for you to participate as your schedule allows such as Lectio Divina or Worship in Spirit and Truth with Fr. TJ, Perhaps it is praying the rosary or some other form of private devotion. The list is endless. Prayerfully reflect on the one or two ways you need to grow in faith.Everyone is in need of God's abundant mercy. Several priest will be available to hear confessions during the Advent Day of Mercy.
Lent is the perfect time to come to confession especially if it's been a while since you've participated in this powerful sacrament.Lectio Divina is Latin for "Divine Reading" and is an ancient process to study/meditate on passages from the Bible. This is a great way for you to spend some time digging into the Scriptures and open your heart to what God is saying to you.
You do not need to have any experience with Lectio Divina to participate. We are learning together and allowing what the scriptures say to speak to each of us uniquely while learning from each other.
There is no need to register. Our flexible format allows you to come to any of the sessions so choose the day/time that fits your schedule each week.

Every Sunday evening throughout Lent, Adoration and Benediction will follow the 6:30 PM Sunday evening Mass. If you are unfamiliar with Adoration, it is simply spending time with Jesus present in the Eucharist. A prayer of blessing (Benediction) will conclude the time of prayer around 8 PM. You can bring a Bible or other spiritual book or just spend quiet time in prayer. Spend a short time or stay for the entire time of Adoration and Benediction.
The Stations of the Cross are a series of 14 events that mark Jesus's journey to Calvary and death. They are also known as the Via Crucis or Way of the Cross. You can walk with Jesus by praying the Stations of the Cross on Friday evenings from 7 PM - 7:30 PM in the Church.
