“Will you let me be your servant, let me be as Christ to you; pray that I may have the grace to let you be my servant, too. We are pilgrims on a journey, we are trav’lers on the road; we are here to help each other walk the mile and bear the load”. ~Richard Gillard, The Servant Song
St. Pius X has a team of trained volunteers who bring Holy Communion to hospitalized Catholics at St. John’s HealthEast Hospital in Maplewood on Mondays. This is a beautiful opportunity to bring Jesus to the sick. Your volunteer time commitment is approximately three hours, one Monday per month. Training will be provided.
Due to data privacy laws, hospitals cannot inform the parish of your illness or admittance to their facility unless you have specifically requested that the hospital do so. If you or a family member is admitted to the hospital, please contact the parish office so that we can provide caring ministry to you in times of illness or health crisis.
If you feel called to be a part of this ministry, please contact Kim Williams, Director of Outreach, at 651-429-5337.
