The Eucharist is one of the seven Sacraments and one of the three Sacraments of Initiation. We partake in the Eucharist sacrament in remembrance of Jesus's instruction at the Last Supper when he gave his disciples bread, saying, "This is my body", and wine saying, "This is my blood." "Do this in remembrance of me."
English writer, poet, philologist, and academic, J.R. Tolkein, most famous for his works “The Hobbit” and “The Lord of the Rings”, wrote the following about the Eucharist: “I put before you the one great thing to love on earth: the Blessed Sacrament. There you will find romance, glory, honor, fidelity, and the true way of all your loves on earth.”
Saint Mother Theresa said that “in an ever-changing world the Holy Eucharist is a constant reminder of the great reality of God’s changeless love.”
