The Easter Basket Blessing has been a European tradition for years. This is perceived as a grace before a meal; “Thanksgiving”. The blessed food is shared with family and eaten right before the main meal.
The custom of creating an Easter basket includes having the basket blessed on Holy Saturday. As we embrace our rich Catholic culture, we invite you to partake in this tradition.
The basket is covered with a white cloth during the short service, however uncovered for the blessing.
