From the Archdiocese:
"Our first consideration must continue to be for the spiritual and physical health of our parishioners and those whom they encounter, especially the most vulnerable: the elderly and those with chronic illnesses. We continue to rely on medical professionals and governmental standards to inform these directives."
The obligation to attend Sunday Mass and Holy Days of Obligation continues to be suspended as long as the pandemic continues.
Wearing face masks are mandated for indoor assemblies in the State of Minnesota unless you are exempt due to age (under age 2) or have a health condition. See the MDH web site for clarification. We urge assembly members to wear a face covering anytime you are on the parish campus.
From St. Pius X - Public Masses and Liturgy Helpers
As some of you may have heard or noticed, the Archdiocese has adjusted some guidelines for public Masses at those parishes that can safely offer them for their community. Holy Communion can be returned to the normal time in Mass, and age is not necessarily a restriction to attendance. Of course, anyone whose health is a concern, or who is older and uncomfortable with groups may and perhaps should stay home.
However, if you are healthy, regardless of age, we welcome you to our public Masses. In addition, if you are willing to be a liturgy helper - especially a sanitizer or usher- please contact Suzie Schulte in the parish office at 651-762-3632 or sschulte@churchofstpiusx.org. We have a great need for adult sanitizers in order to continue to offer public Masses.
Please see below for information on returning to Mass safely. It is also availabe as a pdf here
