We are excited to offer The Catechesis of the Good Shepherd program for the little ones of our parish family. We invite all 3-9 year old children to participate in this Montessori-based Catholic religious program. The motto of Catechesis of the Good Shepherd is "Help me fall in love with God by myself."
Level I (ages 3-6): The heart of catechesis for children under six revolves around the Parable of the Good Shepherd. Jesus announces that He is the Good Shepherd who calls each one by name. The sheep listen to the voice of the Shepherd and follow Him.
Level II (ages 6-9): The elementary-age child is drawn to the image of the True Vine. “I am the vine, you are the branches, whoever remains in Me, and I in him, will bear much fruit, because without Me you can do nothing.” This proclamation responds to the deep need of children to better know their relationship with God, family, friends, and the larger community.
Level II is the preparation for First Reconciliation and First Holy Communion.
Information on registering for the next school year's Catechesis of the Good Shepherd will be available in the summer.
